Hello Loyal Readers of A Sassy Woman, My name is Deidre and I am the creative fashionista behind the Blog Frugal Flirty N Fab and I am honored to bring to you today one of my current favorite Spring Trends, How to Rock a Burst of Yellow. While according to Pantene Green is the color of the year, you can’t possibly look around without seeing a pop of yellow simply everywhere. Today I’d like to show you 2 very different ways you can easily incorporate yellow into your wardrobe without it being overkill or even worst looking like a banana.
For my first look I took a que from one of my current favorite Fashionistas, Ms. Solange Knowles. Solange is a pro with mixing prints and we all know she luvs rocking the color yellow! With that in mind I paired this classic vintage 80’s blazer I picked up at my local thrift shop, with a bright yellow ruffled top, and my cute striped mini and within minutes ala Fashion Fabness! I know not everyone is a fan of mixing prints but come on Ladies, you only live once so it’s definitely worth a try, and with adding that burst or yellow you’ll appreciate the fact that you did!
For my second look I went with something I know all too well, and that’s wearing Color on Color. This is a look any fashionista could wear and it easily could be transformed from day to night and dressed up or played down. All it takes to pull this look is the pairing of a couple of your favorite colors together. Since today my focus is on the color yellow I took my new yellow top (JcPenny) and paired it with my favorite blue high waist shorts, hot pink pointy toe heels, and pulled the look all together with my favorite pop of pink skinny belt…How do I look Ladies?
I hope my post is helpful to the Ladies who are afraid of color or who feel as though its too bright of a color to pull off because yellow is pretty much for everyone. I’ve never seen someone rocking the color yellow and thought to myself , she shouldn’t have! Yellow screams, confidence, happiness, and down right determination so it’s no wonder its one of my favorite Spring trends.
Special thanks to Ashley and also the readers of A Sassy Woman and Will you incorporate a little yellow into your Spring wardrobe?
